Los Angeles has converted Sara Bunge into a tofu and falafel enthusiast, although her roots will always remain at Chicago’s infamous Pequod’s Pizza, eating a slice of pepperoni deep dish, or inhaling a Chicago Style dog at a Cubbie’s game.

One thing about Sara has always been true: whatever she’s doing, she’s all in. You could find a fourth grade Sara rehearsing for her first role as one of Ursula’s eight tentacles in The Little Mermaid by day, and leading vocals on Jet’s hit “Are You Gonna Be My Girl?” at Chicago’s House of Blues by night (much to the dismay of her very concerned Grandmother). This synergy of art and expression catalyzed Sara’s lifelong dedication to intensive training, enlightening discovery, and fulfilling experience in acting, singing, movement, and comedy. Diving into diverse roles during high school like Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, Penelope Pennywise in Urinetown, and Elizabeth Bennet in Pride and Prejudice deepened her curiosity just in time for her to begin furthering her education at Loyola Marymount University. At LMU, Sara's favorite roles included Lucas Carter in BARE: A Pop Opera, Adlean in Barbecue, and Edna Krabappel in Mr. Burns- A Post Electric Play.

Since graduating from LMU in 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts and a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential, Sara has fearlessly made Los Angeles her new stomping grounds. While teaching Math, English, and Theatre to children ranging from 1st to 8th Grade during the days keeps Sara grounded, her artistic endeavors are what really fuel her fire. From progressing to the Advanced Improv Lab at the Groundlings School of Comedy, to leading in several musical workshops with companies such as Mixed eMotion Theatrix and About…Productions, to assistant directing a show at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, to acting in various short films, to, most recently, spending the holiday season caroling throughout LA with the Tinseltones, Sara is deeply grateful for and continually energized by this city and the brilliant people in it!
